Lisa Mann

Lisa Mann, a two-time Blues Music Award-winning artist, originates from the blues-drenched city of Portland, Oregon. Though originally from West Virginia, Mann's vocals effortlessly blend the honeyed warmth of the South with the powerful sound she's honed through mastery of hard rock and rhythm and blues. Her clever blend of blues and Americana balladry is complemented by her impressive skill on the bass guitar, delivering grooves reminiscent of the Muscle Shoals Swamper or a Funk Brother.

Her musical influences span a wide range, from blues icons like Etta James and Koko Taylor to singer-songwriters such as Bonnie Raitt and R&B performers like Little Milton. Mann writes the majority of her recorded material, with her songs often painting vivid pictures of gritty personal experiences in life, love, and the sometimes harsh realities of the music industry.

While Mann leads her own dynamic band, she has also shared the stage with numerous Northwest legends such as Paul Delay, Lloyd Jones, and Karen Lovely, as well as national talents like Sugaray Rayford and Annika Chambers. She frequently contributes her bass grooves and musical direction to Sonny Hess' NW Women's Rhythm and Blues Revue, a popular showcase at festivals like the Waterfront Blues Fest.

Beyond her solo career, Mann's vocals have graced albums by Canadian blues maestro Bill Johnson and the soundtrack of the film "Woodstock or Bust" (2019). She's also collaborated on projects like the symphonic rock endeavor Cry for Eden and released a traditional metal album under the pseudonym White Crone. Currently, she serves as the lead vocalist for Portland's traditional metal band Splintered Throne.
